What is trauma?

Trauma is a profound emotional injury that significantly affects your mental and emotional state. It results from distressing experiences, either a single event or prolonged exposure to adversity, disrupting your sense of safety. How I HELP

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR): This technique involves guiding individuals through specific movements, sounds, or taps to assist their brains in processing distressing memories. It equips you with tools to reorganize and navigate challenging experiences, gradually diminishing the emotional intensity associated with traumatic memories.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): In this treatment modality, I help you to identify and reframe thought patterns connected to trauma. This process encourages exploration and the adoption of new, positive perspectives, essentially rewiring your mental pathways and empowering you to regain control over your narrative.

Psychodynamic Therapy: This therapy explores how past experiences may be influencing your present. Through open conversations, we uncover and address underlying issues, offering a comprehensive approach to healing from within.
