Chronic Suicidality & Emotional Distress

What It Can Look Like...

Chronic suicidal thoughts, even when you don’t want to act on them.

Self-harm or urges to self-harm.

Feeling like you’re always in crisis or waiting for the next one.

Feeling emotionally overwhelmed by situations that seem manageable to others.

Feeling empty, disconnected, or unsure who you are.

Intense fear of rejection or abandonment.

When emotional pain feels constant

Living with chronic suicidal thoughts or intense emotional distress can be exhausting. You may feel like you’re constantly trying to hold everything together while carrying emotions that feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or impossible to explain. Some days it may feel like you’re simply surviving.

Many people I work with have been in therapy before, have been hospitalized, or have tried different medications but still feel like something isn’t getting to the root of what’s happening. Therapy can provide space to better understand these patterns while building a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

How I Help

EMDR: EMDR helps process traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences that continue to influence how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to stress.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): CPT helps identify and challenge beliefs that developed after difficult experiences, creating room for more balanced ways of thinking.

Psychoeducation: Understanding how emotions, trauma, attachment, mood disorders, and nervous system responses interact can help make experiences feel less confusing and provide a clearer direction for treatment.

What Therapy Can Help With Over Time...

Better understanding what drives emotional crises.

Responding to painful emotions without immediately acting on them.

Building more stable and satisfying relationships.

Strengthening your sense of identity and self-worth.

Increasing emotional flexibility and resilience.

Creating a life that feels worth living, even when emotions remain difficult.
