OCD Treatment & EXPOSURE Therapy

Are You EXPERIENCING...

Constant unwanted thoughts that can be disturbing or distressing?

The need to engage in repetitive actions or rituals to alleviate anxiety or prevent a feared event?

A significant amount of time on compulsive behaviors?

Heightened anxiety when unable to perform compulsions or rituals?

What is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition where you have unwanted thoughts that make you feel anxious (obsessions) and, to cope, you do repetitive behaviors or rituals (compulsions). It's like having a nagging worry in your mind, and you do certain things over and over to try to make that worry go away. These thoughts and actions can take up a lot of time and make daily life challenging. Getting help from a professional can give you strategies to manage and reduce these thoughts and behaviors.

How I HELP

Inference-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy:  In this form of therapy we work collaboratively to identify and challenge the distorted thoughts that contribute to OCD symptoms. This method aims to reshape your thinking patterns and create a more realistic and balanced perspective, fostering a healthier relationship with intrusive thoughts.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP): This treatment involves gradually facing feared situations or thoughts while refraining from engaging in compulsive rituals. As your therapist, I guide you through this process, helping you build resilience against the anxiety associated with obsessions. By confronting these fears in a controlled and supportive environment, we work together to break the cycle of compulsive behaviors, empowering you to regain control over your life.
